It all began with the idea to give parents what they really wanted. Preschool portraits by Modern Picture Day originally began with serving preschools. We wanted to give today’s busy parents the best of what school photography had to offer. For preschoolers, we spend a bit more time than the average volume school photographer in order to capture the essence of each child the way they are now. Kids at this age usually have not had a professional portrait taken, so we really make it fun for them and it shows. Parents love what we deliver, which in turn makes the school thrive as well.

When we added kindergarten through 8th grade, we kept the philosophy of giving each child a bit more time in front of the camera. We know that each school is different, with different schedules and timeframes, we work with each individual school to logistically assess their individual needs to create the best school portraits possible.
